Help Wanted | The Power of Serving Others |
In Help Wanted | Serve Series Part 1, Pastor Adam challenges Hill City to discover the power of serving others and making the love of Jesus visible through action. Through Matthew 25:31–45, Galatians 6:10, and 1 John 3:16–18, Pastor Adam explains that helping people in need is more than a good deed—it is evidence of a heart transformed by Christ. Whether it is feeding the hungry, caring for the hurting, helping a neighbor, or simply showing up when someone needs support, followers of Jesus are called to love not only with words, but with actions and truth.
At Hill City, we believe serving changes both the person receiving help and the person giving it. Looking at the Good Samaritan and the life of Jesus, Pastor Adam shows how compassion crosses barriers, interrupts convenience, and moves us to action. Jesus does not come to be served, but to serve, and He calls us to follow His example by noticing needs around us and responding with generosity, mercy, and love. You may not be able to do everything, but you can do something—and even small acts done with great love can make a powerful difference in your community.
