Reprogram Pt. 4: Love Means Unlimited Acceptance

Reprogram Pt. 4 – “Love Means Unlimited Acceptance” continues the Re-Program series at Hill City with a timely, truth-filled message from Pastor Shawn, launching at the Arlington Campus. Grounded in Romans 12:2, this message calls the Church to stop conforming to the world’s patterns of thinking and to be transformed by renewing our minds. Pastor Shawn unpacks the cultural definition of love as unlimited tolerance and contrasts it with the biblical call to love rooted in truth—love that seeks freedom, transformation, and alignment with Jesus. If we’re honest, there are areas in all of us that don’t yet look like Christ, and the hope of this message is realignment—to reprogram our beliefs so our lives reflect Him more clearly.

Building on the series journey—from moral relativism, to vengeance, to self-denial—this message challenges the idea that love equals approval. Drawing from Ephesians 4:15, Proverbs 27:6, Matthew 7, and the life of Jesus, Pastor Shawn shows that biblical love speaks truth, warns of consequences, and calls people back to their original design. Unlimited acceptance, he explains, can confuse love with approval, turn brokenness into identity, and shift authority from God to the individual. The gospel, however, is radically inclusive in invitation and exclusive in commitment—calling us to die to self and truly live (Galatians 2:20). In a culture of tolerance without truth, this message invites us to reprogram to the gospel reality: love doesn’t affirm sin—it offers freedom.
