Patty Moffett's Redemption Story

This is the moving testimony of Patty Moffett, a woman of deep faith whose life was radically transformed by the power and presence of God.

Patty encountered Jesus as a teenager with a powerful salvation experience at just 15 years old. She was baptized and became part of the First Baptist Church in Canton. Later, she married her high school sweetheart, Ricky, and pursued a career in nursing — faithfully serving others since 1987.

But in August 2021, everything changed. Patty contracted a severe case of COVID-19 and was rushed to the hospital, struggling to breathe and fighting for her life. As she lay in the ICU, surrounded by fear and the sound of code blues, she began to battle not only sickness but spiritual discouragement.

The enemy whispered lies — that she would never see her grandchildren again, never witness her son’s wedding, never minister again. But even in her weakest moment, God met her powerfully. When her oxygen supply suddenly failed, a nurse was shocked — the machine had never malfunctioned in 16 years. It was a moment that reminded Patty: God was still in control.

As blue balloons floated past her hospital window in a tribute to COVID victims, Patty felt the Lord impress on her heart to pray — to intercede for the hurting and grieving, even as she fought for her own life.

Through it all, God redeemed her. Healed her. And restored her purpose.

Patty now ministers to others with renewed passion and a deep understanding of God’s sustaining power. Her story is one of hope, perseverance, and the faithfulness of a God who hears, heals, and saves.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

If God can redeem Patty’s life from the brink of death, He can redeem yours too.
